Both of our dentists have a combined experience of over 40 years and practice all aspects of dentistry including restorations, periodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, and surgery. This allows us to make minimal referrals to specialists so you can address all your dental concerns hassle-free!

Dr. Nadia Awais

Dr. Nadia Awais earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from De’ Montmorency College of Dentistry, Pakistan, in 1997. She trained and practised for nearly a decade alongside Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed, a distinguished surgeon and maxillofacial specialist.

Following her relocation to Canada, Dr. Awais successfully completed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) licensing programme and is additionally accredited by the US Board Dental Examination (NBDE). She holds a master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Edinburgh, UK.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Awais is a visiting faculty member for the Dental Hygiene Programme at Collège La Cité, Ottawa, and mentors internationally trained dentists preparing for direct licensing pathways and bench examinations for admission into North American dental schools.

Dedicated to comprehensive patient care, Dr. Awais combines clinical excellence with empathy, ensuring her patients’ comfort and satisfaction. While she practises all aspects of dentistry, she has a particular interest in surgical procedures. She has completed more than 200 hours of continuing education in clear aligner and conventional orthodontics, enabling her to improve the oral health, aesthetics, and smiles of patients of all ages. She is also an active member of the International Association of Orthodontics (IAO).

Dr. Awais has undertaken over 300 hours of advanced education in implant dentistry and has successfully passed the first part of the Associate Fellowship examination with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. She is committed to lifelong learning, regularly participating in study clubs and professional development programmes to stay current with the latest research, technologies, and treatment modalities.

She is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association, and the Ottawa Dental Society. Multilingual in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi, Dr. Awais is able to connect with patients across diverse communities. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys gardening, reading, and travelling with her family.

Dr. Anas Bezreh

Dr. Bezreh graduated from Damascus University in 2000. After graduation, he practiced general dentistry - enjoying the challenge of mastering all general procedures and providing quality care for all patients.

In 2006, he was accepted into the residency and master’s degree program in Endodontic and restorative dentistry and obtained his Master’s degree in Endodontic treatment in 2011 at Damascus University. After graduation, he continued to practice all aspects of dentistry but with a focus on endodontic treatment and retreatment. He strives to complete very difficult root canals in the hopes of improving with the most difficult cases and saving teeth from extraction whenever possible. In addition to endodontic treatment, he also provides aesthetic dentistry services in the form of veneers and all types of ceramic restorations.

Dr. Bezreh moved to Canada to join his family in 2014, where he obtained the license to practice dentistry in Canada and is a member in excellent standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, and Ottawa Dental Society.

He continues to expand his dental education by regularly attending courses and seminars, to keep up with the latest advances in dentistry. He is passionate about dentistry and genuinely cares about all his patients. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and being actively involved in his community.

Dr. Aleen Awais

Dr. Aleen Awais is a general dentist with a passion for helping patients feel at ease and build a positive, lasting relationship with their oral health. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Health Science followed by a Master of Dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, Australia, where she was awarded the International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and sustained excellence throughout her degree.

For her Master’s thesis, Dr. Aleen conducted a systematic review investigating the oral health implications of cannabis use, with the aim of informing preventive dental care and patient education in response to its growing prevalence across Canada.

She maintains a strong interest in clinical research and evidence-based dentistry and continues to engage in scholarly work that advances patient care.

Dr. Aleen has a special interest in paediatric dentistry; a passion rooted in years of hands-on experience working with children and families in her community. She spent several summers volunteering as a camp counsellor with Children at Risk, an organisation supporting children on the autism spectrum, which she continues to support today.

These early experiences working with children with developmental and behavioural needs deepened her appreciation for patience, communication, and the importance of creating environments where young patients feel genuinely safe and at ease.

Today, she particularly enjoys helping patients of all ages feel comfortable during their dental visits and guiding them toward positive early experiences with oral healthcare, recognising that these interactions can shape lifelong habits and attitudes toward dental care.

Dr. Aleen is also a dedicated volunteer at the Ottawa Mission Dental Clinic, where she provides essential dental services to individuals experiencing homelessness and significant barriers to accessing care. She believes that improving access to oral healthcare and supporting underserved communities is a core responsibility of the profession.

She is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association, and the Ottawa Dental Society.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Aleen stays active, seeks out Ottawa’s best coffee shops, and enjoys time with family and friends.

Dr. Hayatham Elfawal

Dr. Haytham Elfawal graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Mansoura University, Egypt, in 2006. Following graduation, he practiced general dentistry, gaining extensive experience in comprehensive patient care.

He was later accepted into a three-year Endodontic Residency at Suez Canal University, where he earned a Master's degree in Endodontics. He also completed the three-year Egyptian Board of Family Dentistry Program further expanding his clinical expertise in comprehensive dental care. After completing his advanced training, Dr. Elfawal continued practicing general dentistry with a special interest in endodontic treatment, restorative dentistry, and preserving natural teeth whenever possible.

In addition to endodontic care, Dr. Elfawal provides a wide range of restorative and esthetic dental treatments, including dental crowns and all-ceramic restorations, helping patients restore the function, health, and natural appearance of their smiles.

In 2024, Dr. Elfawal obtained his license to practice dentistry in Canada. He is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. He believes in educating his patients and empowering them to make informed decisions about their oral health.

Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Elfawal regularly participates in continuing education courses to stay current with the latest advances in dentistry and provide the highest standard of care.

Outside the office, Dr. Elfawal enjoys spending time with his family, participating in outdoor activities, and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Dr. Noor Dahrouj

Dr. Noor Dahrouj is a general dentist dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for at every visit. Dr. Dahrouj completed her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa before earning her dental degree at the University of Toronto. In addition to her Canadian credentials, Dr. Dahrouj is also American Board Certified, a reflection of the high standard she holds herself to and the well-rounded, thorough approach she brings to patient care.

Dr. Dahrouj has always believed that quality dental care should be within everyone’s reach. During her time in Toronto, she volunteered at organizations such as Yonge Street Mission, providing dental services to individuals with socioeconomic barriers. That experience shaped the way she practices today — with patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to putting patients at ease, no matter their background or circumstances.

Dr. Dahrouj stays current with evidence-based dentistry and is always looking for ways to bring thoughtful, modern, patient-centred care into her everyday practice, so that the people she treats receive not just a service, but real attention to their long-term oral health.

Dr. Dahrouj is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association.

Dental Hygienist Rita Michel Wehbe

Rita Wehbe is a Registered Dental Hygienist and graduate of the Canadian National Institute of Health (CNIH). She is passionate about preventive dentistry and providing personalized, patient-centered care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, Rita enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds. She believes that patient education is the foundation of lifelong oral health and is committed to helping patients feel informed and confident in maintaining their oral health.

Committed to lifelong learning, Rita continually expands her knowledge and stays up to date with the latest evidence-based practices to provide the highest standard of care for her patients.

Dental Hygienist Amber Crater

With a previous background in Emergency Medical response and the recipient of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontatio's patient advocacy award, Amber delivers high quality care to her patients with a focus on safety, comfort, and precision.

Amber believes dental cleanings should not be stressful or painful and her high standards for patient care and comfort along with her meticulous eye for detail often leave patients requesting her by name.

Amber has a passion for brining oral health care to underserved communities and spent time leading Dental Hygiene departments in remote First Nations communities before she came to join us at Bayshore Dental Centre.
